Katie Wagner offers private piano lessons in her home studio in Rapid City. Miss Wagner tailors a program for each student using several methods depending on the specific needs of the pupil, always honoring their uniqueness and learning style.

Katie’s philosophy:

“It is my joy to share my love for the piano with my students. I focus on teaching the young beginner a solid, healthy technique with an emphasis on beauty of sound and expression that leads to confident and sensitive playing. ”

Katie Wagner trained with Lana Bodnar, who descends from a long line of Russian musicians. Ms. Bodnar is the founder of The Music and Arts Conservatory of Santa Barbara. It was Katie’s great privilege to study piano with Lana first while earning her B.A. in Music from the University of California in Santa Barbara. Ms. Wagner continues to study via zoom with her pedagogy teacher Ms. Bodnar.

Monthly Fees:  $90 for four 30 minute lessons; $125 for four 45 minute lessons and $160 for four 60 minute lessons (if there happen to be 5 lessons in a month it is no extra charge)
