Katie Wagner is offering private piano lessons in her home studio in Rapid City. Miss Wagner tailors a program for each student using several methods depending on the specific needs of the pupil, always honoring their uniqueness and learning style.

Katie’s philosophy:

“It is my joy to share my love for the piano and music with my students. It is my mission to develop a secure technique as the basis for confident and sensitive playing. I aim to cultivate a deeply personal connection between the student and their instrument, leading to great self-expression and happiness when playing. My focus is on developing a solid, healthy technique with emphasis on beauty of sound and expression.”

Katie Wagner trained with Lana Bodnar, founder of The Music and Arts Conservatory of Santa Barbara. It was Katie’s great privilege to study piano with Lana first while earning her B.A. in Music History & Theory from U.C.S.B. In fact, Katie changed her major from piano performance to history in order to study piano off campus with Lana.  More recently, Katie completed a year of further training with Lana via Zoom and continues to draw great inspiration from her mentor.

Now taking beginning students, starting from age five.

Fees:  $21 per half-hour and $48 per hour
